Vessel Energy & Carbon Management Platform for a Large Ocean Shipping Company
Ocean vessels face fluctuating fuel consumption due to wind, waves, and speed, and tightening IMO CII rating requirements make traditional manual logs obsolete.
Deployed shipborne energy & carbon data collection terminals and a shore-based management platform, calculating CII ratings in real-time and offering speed and route optimization.

Group Energy & Carbon Platform (Shipping Edition)
Built a vessel energy & carbon platform addressing high-dynamic, trans-boundary ocean shipping, monitoring fuel consumption and CII in real-time for IMO compliance.
Challenge
Ocean vessels operate in network-free or weak-network environments, making data sync difficult, and CII calculations involve complex corrections for voyage, capacity, and fuel types.
Solution
Developed a shipboard system supporting offline caching and breakpoint resume, combined with the shore-based platform to deploy dynamic CII warnings and speed optimization algorithms.
Result
Successfully integrated dozens of large container ships, helping the core fleet achieve Grade A or B CII compliance, effectively avoiding detention risks at international ports.
“The vessel energy & carbon platform allows us to monitor each ship's carbon intensity in real-time, providing strong technical support for EU ETS and IMO regulations.”
